Q1. Suitable Computers
Q1.1 Does the cashbook run on all Windows ?
Yes - it runs on all major Windows systems. (Examples: from Windows 95 to Windows 7)
The cashbook does require a Windows operating system.

Q1.2 Does the cashbook run on a MAC ?
Yes, there are many clients using PAYGEasy on the MAC ...
... but it does require the Windows operating system to be on the MAC.
Note: PAYGE Pty. Ltd. develops and tests with Microsoft Windows only.
When changing to a MAC, follow the "Q4. How do I change computers ?" advice.

There are two ways to run Windows: 1) To start a MAC with Windows use "Boot Camp"
or 2) to swap between Windows and the MAC use VMware or Parallels.
See "It runs Windows, too" on the Apple website

Q2. Changing Computers
Q2.1 How do I change computers ?
- Backup your data safely (File, Backup)
- Download the current version "PAYGEasySetup" from the download page
- Install the cashbook on the new computer- run (double click) the download
Note: On recent versions of Windows, Administrator access is needed for installation
- Run the cashbook and restore the latest backup (File, Restore)
Note: Full access is required - the easiest way for this is to "run as administrator"
Vista users can right click the PAYGEasy icon when starting the cashbook
- Click OK to any "Update" messages
- Re-Register using the "Existing Client" button on the Buy page of this website

Q2.2 How much does Re-Registration cost ?
$20.00 incl. GST

Q2.3 When will I Re-Register ?
Re-Registration will be needed to use the cashbook on a new computer.
It is also needed if you have computer problems which removes the cashbook Registration.
(Examples: Hard disc failure. Installation of a new version of the Windows operating system.)

Re-Registration is not normally needed to install a later version of the cashbook ...
... but do NOT uninstall the previous version.

Q2.4 How do I Re-Register ?
"Existing Client" button on Buy page - only suitable for clients who already have a current license.

Q3. Technical
Q3.1 What's "special" about using Vista ?
Valid access needed. The simplest way to do this is to "run as Administrator".
Installation of the download normally requires "Administrator" access with Vista
Full access to the cashbook folders is then needed to run the cashbook.
Either logon as Administrator or right click the cashbook's leaf icon on the desktop
and with the left button select "run as Administrator" to start the cashbook

Q3.2 Where's "grouping" gone ?
Click Summary button. List/group customers etc. using the new buttons under Summary
"More Summaries" button shows the previous grouping area.
Try it out or see Help in the cashbook.
